In a duel of teams seeded 4th and 5th from Preliminary phase, RC Cola justified the role of favorites against Generika Lifesavers to pull off a 25-20, 25-19, 25-19 victory.
RC Cola’s Import from the United States, Hailie Ripley, has chosen the best possible moment to annul her weak performances from the finish of Preliminary stage, delivering crucial hits to Generika, and scheduling a clash against top seeded and also champions Foton Tornadoes in semis. She had 12 points, second best scorer after her teammate Jovelyn Gonzaga, who tallied game-high 13 points. Ukrainian Polina Liutikova registered 10 points for Generika.
Seeded 3rd F2 Logistics needed four sets to break the resistance of seeded 6th Cignal HD Spikers, 25-17, 25-16, 22-25, 25-10 to complete the second semifinal pair with Petron Blaze Spikers.
U.S. internationals Sydney Kemper and Hayley Spelman finished with 18 and 17 points respectively for F2 Logistics, who collapsed in the third set but bounced back in the deciding set.
