“I am aging, and my daughter has a job. We do not have any major pressures, so I will either continue coaching the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team or end my career,” a 55-year-old Ping said in an interview for “CCTV News”.
The coach also acknowledged that she has declined several offers to coach foreign teams, including Italy, after her contract with Chinese Volleyball Federation expired.
One of the reasons why Ping has taken a rest from volleyball after Rio Olympic Games was to recover from a knee injury.
