Nothing more must not amaze us when it comes to the Iranian men’s volleyball Championship.

Salehin Varamin, a team that was disqualified from the Iranian top division in mid-December, has been returned to the league against official regulations while other team is now excluded – Parseh Tehran.

According to Iranian media, Parseh management did not fulfill contract obligations toward its players. Thus, they got disqualified from the Superleague. But, the penalty is only temporary.

If Parseh officials pay at least 30% of depts to its players until January 21, they will be allowed to resume competing in the league. Also, Parseh will have to pay at least 35% of contract obligations to its players from January 21 to the beginning of the playoffs. If not, they will be permanently disqualified from the competition.

Big problem for the club from Iranian capital might be the fact there are three rounds to be played until the deadline set by the national federation for debt settlement. In case Parseh get forfeited, they will fall below playoff zone.

There was another disqualification last season.
