Guangdong vs. Henan
Thanks to 20 points from Gong Xiangyu, Jiangsu defeated Fujian in straight-sets, partially 25-22, 25-18, 25-21, in Pool A and reached an 8-1 record. Nevertheless, it did not move them up in the rankings as they remained behind the leaders Bayi.
As for Bayi, they achieved a straight-set victory against the home side of Sichuan with 17 points from Yuan Weiyu.
Guangdong are in a good shape as they won the third straight match. Without Cuban star Nancy Carrillo but led by the Bulgarian Eva Yaneva, who made 16 points, they shut down Henan by a 3-0.
In Pool B, Tianjin are on a 4-game run as they swept Beijing by a 3-0 (25-12, 28-26, 25-16). Li Yingying topped the winning side with 21 points.
Hebei are still winless after suffering the 10th defeat in a row, this time to Yunnan (3-2), while Shandong beat Zhejiang on the road by a 3-0.
