China men’s league: Chuan – Tillie duo makes victorious start for Beijing in Stage 2

Beijing preserved their invincibility in the Chinese men’s volleyball league.

Beijing, the only undefeated side in Group Stage (Stage 1) of the Chinese men’s volleyball league (12-0), extended their winning streak to 13 games. They beat Zhejiang on the road in an intense four-setter at the opening of Stage 2 (8 beast teams from Group Stage), partially 25-17, 23-25, 27-25, 27-25. Jiang Chuan with 28 points and Frenchman Kévin Tillie with 17 points topped Beijing, who transferred 6 wins from the Group Stage and now have a 7-0 record.

Three-time defending champions Shanghai also started off the second phase of the league on the right foot as they prevailed against Sichuan by a 3-0. Zhang Zhejia made 12 points while Frenchman Julien Lyneel added 11 points (3 aces) for Shanghai.

Bayi and Jiangsu were the two remained clubs who notched wins at Stage 2 premiere.
