AZE W: Azeryol BAKU take on 2013 bronze medalists to start their CL adventure

On Tuesday Azeryol BAKU will play last year’s bronze medalists Unendo Yamamay BUSTO ARSIZIO in the opening round of the 2014 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – Women.

After a very tough national league game with Azerrail, the players around Brazilian head coach Angelo Vercesi are focused only and exclusively on their match with the Italians.

“We respect every team in our group. However, our task and goal is to go as far as possible in this competitionVercesi says. “We will open this campaign playing in front of our home fans and we want to make them happy with a first victory,” he continues.

Vercesi analyzes Unendo Yamamay:

“They have changed a little since last year but they still have great players on their roster.”  

Apart from Unendo Yamamay BUSTO ARSIZIO, Azeryol is set to play in the prelims of Europe’s elite club competition also Turkey’s Galatasaray Daikin ISTANBUL and Italy’s rookie Prosecco DocImoco CONEGLIANO.
