After edging DRESDNER SC in straight sets on Thursday, Rabita needed another three sets to claim their last match in the national league with Lokomotiv BAKU (25-13, 25-13, and 25-20). This way the “Armada” from Azerbaijan’s capital city got ready for the upcoming game with France’s vice-champions.

Rabita already downed BEZIERS Volley in straight sets as the Azeri ladies had traveled to France for the second round of the prelims in late October.

“We played a good game with Lokomotiv and showed excellent and fast Volleyball there” says Rabita team captain Sanja Starović. “We are improving day after day and I am very happy with this. We have to stay focused and win against BEZIERS so as to keep our leadership in the Pool. This is very important.

“All teams participating in this competition are strong and we must respect them” adds head coach Eldar Yusubov. “This is the Champions League so you must be ready for everything. We have to stay focused and concentrated for every single match and set we play. I believe that my team is growing and improving day by day” he concludes.
