The representatives of the media wishing to attend the grand finale of this season’s women’s Champions League can now get their accreditations by filling out the online form here. The deadline for submitting accreditation requests is March 10. The organizers have designated the Hilton hotel in Baku as the recommended accommodation for journalists, as transportation from the hotel to the competition hall can be arranged, if needed.
The Final Four is set to take place on March 15 and 16 with the two semi finals, VakifBank ISTANBUL (TUR) vs. Eczacibasi VitrA ISTANBUL (TUR) and Dinamo KAZAN (RUS) vs. Rabita BAKU (AZE), scheduled for Saturday evening and the bronze medal match, the final and the award ceremony coming up on Sunday as the culmination of Europe’s most prestigious club competition.
Apart from determining the 2014 volleyball club champion of Europe, the Final Four in Baku has two more important roles to play. It will nominate the continent’s representative for the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship from May 7 to 11 in Zurich and will serve as a test event for the volleyball competition at the inaugural European Games to take place in the Azerbaijani capital in 2015.
