A 31-year-old player officially returned to the club in which she set off her professional career 14 years ago. Thaísa gave hints for this transfer, two weeks ago, when she came to cheer for the Belo Horizonte team in Game 1 of the Brazilian Championship finals against Dentil/Praia Clube.
The middle blocker, who spent the last season in Hinode Barueri, has the résumé filled with great achievements. With Brazil national team, Thaísa won the Olympic Games twice (2008 Beijing and 2012 London) and FIVB World Grand Prix five times (2008, 2009, 2013, 2014, and 2016). With the clubs whose colors she has defended, Thaísa won five Brazilian Championship titles (three times with SESC RJ and two times with Osasco Voleibol Clube/Audax), three Brazilian Cup trophies and two FIVB Club World Championship titles (Osasco Voleibol Clube/Audax and Eczacıbaşı VitrA from Turkey, once each).
In addition to Thaísa, the new Brazilian titleholders Minas confirmed contract renewals with setters Macrís Carneiro and Bruna Costa “Bruninha”, middle blockers Caroline Gattaz “Carol Gattaz” and Laura Kudiess, the opposite Bruna Honório, libero Léia Silva and outside hitter Lana Conceição.
