The Italian Women’s Volleyball top division side Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio persuaded an expert Stefano Lavarini to take them over next season.

The 2019 CEV Cup Winner, who already started to build their roster for the 2019/20 season by renewing with a quintet and by signing an outside hitter Francesca Villani and American middle blocker Haleigh Washington from Banca Valsabbina Millenium Brescia, hired one of the most wanted coaches at the moment in the world volleyball transfer market.

Stefano Lavarini, who has just brought a long-awaited Brazilian title to Itambé Minas and said goodbye to the Brazilian side, replaced Manco Mencarelli (will likely go to Savino Del Bene Scandicci) on the bench of Busto.

Thus, Lavarini will perform a dual role next season after all. Recall that he was appointed the first-ever foreign expert at the helm of South Korea Women’s national team.

It will be a return of a promising coach to his home country after two seasons in Minas. Before moving to Brazil, Lavarini won the Italian Cup with Zanetti Bergamo in the 2015/16 season.
