The 22-year old libero has made a short analysis of the season 2018/2019.

Maritza have won the championship title again. Was it more difficult compared to the previous season?

I think It was even easier than in previous years. The hardest thing was to switch between the Champions league and domestic championship matches.“

How would you rate your performances in the season 2018/2019?

We were like a big family and really had so much fun this season. It finished so quickly that we were sad at the end. We didn’t lose a game in our championship. About the Champions league matches, I’m a little bit disappointed because we didn’t win the first match with Bezier in France.“

Maritza played the CEV Champions League group stage. What are your impressions after playing the games against Vakifbank?

I always tell that CL matches are my favorite and I see how the team gives more than 100 percent in each match. It is an irreplaceable experience for our team to participate in this tournament. Vakifbank are one of the best teams in the world. Not only they have such great players and staff but the quality of organization and professionalism in each level.“

The national season is approaching – Do you think Bulgaria is able to achieve the goals?

In my dreams, I see Bulgaria making the final six of the VNL, but we have to walk our way step by step. The teams we are going to face are playing at a very high level and we have to play without pressure, to gain valuable experience and self-confidence and keep faith in our direction. I think the firlt goal is to remain in VNL.“

What are your plans for the season 2019/2020?

I have time to think about that. First thing is to stay without injuries.“
