Brazil captain Bruno Rezende was proud with the victory and the composure of his team.

We played more aggressively today,” he said. “I think Brazil still has to improve but it was important to achieve our first victory at home. Tomorrow I hope we can play even better.”

Head coach of Polish NT Stephane Antiga was disappointed with the result but took heart from the way his team’s performance.

“I am proud with the way our team played,” he added. “We have a young team because many of our players have injuries. It was the first time that our players played in this kind of atmosphere. We had our chances today and I think we will play better tomorrow.”
