Head coach of the Brazilian volleyball team, Ze Roberto, gave Russia that contender spot before the World Championship.

“With Gamova and Sokolova in the squad, Russians are the strongest favourites to win it all at the World Championship. There will be probably five or six teams running for the medals but let’s not put our team on top of it when there is such a high competition. Don’t overestimate ourselves.”
