Brazilian middle blocker Sidao underwent success shoulder surgery on Tuesday.

The middle-blocker who won gold at the Italy 2010 FIVB Volleyball World Championship and silver at the London 2012 Olympic Games and Poland 2014 World Championship required surgery on his right shoulder after previously trying physiotherapy. 

It means he is expected to be out of action for four to six months, but thereafter the aim is for him to re-join the Brazil squad and their preparations for the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games

Guys, thank you for strength messages and care,” Sidao said and added “Thank God the surgery was great. Now I just need to patient to recover and try to return to my best. Tomorrow I’ll be at home.
