Sesi vs. Kirin
Even by showing volleyball not as bright as Brazilian champions got used their fans, team coached by Argentinian Marcelo Mendez achieved win in a balanced game.
Wallace Souza scored 17 points in Cruzeiro. Leandro Martins Silva had 13 in losing team.
Cruzeiro reached 27 points, widening the difference of five points comparing to Sesi-SP, while Juiz de Fora hold last place in the standings, with only three points and no wins in the league.
The end of the year will be happy for Sesi, too. They beat Vôlei Brasil Kirin in a derby 3-2 (17-25, 25-21, 29-27, 21-25, 15-7) and temporarily took second place in Superliga only behind Cruzeiro.
The triumph was built with a turnaround in the third set when Sesi went from 22-17 to 29-27, and with a killer tie-break, which gave no chance to the rivals.
Théo Lopes topped Sesi’s scorers with 21 points. Kirin had three players with 14 points as the best scorers: Lucas Lóh, Maurício Liuz de Souza and Wallace Martins.
