The receiver/outside hitter has been crossed out by Brazil National Team head coach Zé Roberto. It means that one of the favorites to win the gold medal at the Olympics will play there with these four receivers:  Natália, Jaque, Fe Garay and Gabi.

Besides Mari Paraíba, Zé Roberto decided to renounce another player – setter Naiane Rios.

After two cuts, Brazil’s head coach will still have to reduce current roster to 12 players which means that one libero, middle blocker and setter will fell off until the tournament in August.
