Thaisa Daher once again stated that she might retire from the national team.

Brazilian superstar is apparently not very happy because she played very little at the Rio Olympics. She missed the opening two rounds due to calf injury, still that was not her decision…

“It is difficult for me to speak because I played so little. I could have started playing earlier at the tournament, but the staff decided differently. I was training hard and training well. When you are playing regularly then you get more confidence from each serve, from each spike… I have had little time to gain confidence during the Olympic tournament,” said Thaisa.

When asked if she is really planning to retire from the national team, Thaisa responded:

“I went through a lot during this year and I do not want to go through those situations once again. If something changes in the national team, then I might stay. If nothing changes, I will hardly continue playing for Brazil.”
