The Brazilian coach, Mauricio Thomas, analyzed the difficulties faced by his team. He praised the girls and their comeback in the fourth set when Argentina had three match points.
“A win like this strengthens the group after a moment of difficulty. This shows them that there are no lost games. We missed a lot, we draw poorly, the Argentine was happy on the counterattack, we prevailed and managed to turn the tables. Today, we missed the ball, but left our heart” Mauricio said.
Rodriguez of Argentina scored 24 points. For Brazil, capt. Karoline scored 18 points.
“The help of the fans was essential. I was happy because of the presence of my father, my mother and my aunt” Karoline said.
Guillermo Caceres, Argentina coach commented the result and heaped praise on Brazilian players and fans:
“We could have won the game in the fourth set. We lacked calmness in the tie-break, playing with the pressure of the fans, which had exemplary behavior. And playing against a team like Brazil is always good to improve our team” Caceres said.
