Sesi
The team from São Paulo extended playoff semifinals against No.2 Funvic Taubaté by beating them 3-2 in Game 3 and reduced their lead to 2-1 in series.
Sesi won this right by prevailing in the longest set this season in Superliga, the first set, 37-35! It lasted 42 minutes! Despite having many stars of the Brazilian NT in their roster like Lucão, Murilo, Bruninho and Serginho, Sesi was pushed towards win over Taubaté by opposite Théo Lopes, who scored game-high 31 points. Wallace Souza had 26 for the losing side.
The fourth game of the series will be played on April 28, at Sesi’s gymnasium.
