The officals of the two Superliga clubs, with the presence of Cruzeiro coach Marcelo Méndez, extended the agreement they made at the beginning of the last season. According to the deal, Cruzeiro is obligated to send players and coaches from their youth team on loan to JF Vôlei senior squad.

As a result of the partnership, JF Vôlei advanced to the playoffs last season, for the first time in club history, having as much as 12 players under the contract with Cruzeiro in their roster.

It is obvious that this partnership gives huge opportunity to Cruzeiro young players to compete in Brazilian top division because they would hardly find their place in club senior squad due to presence of many big volleyball names in it every year.
