After the battle in the rematch of the São Paulo State Championship (Campeonato Paulista) finals, that lasted more than two hours, the Brazilian Men’s runners-up EMS Taubaté Funvic outplayed the new team in the country’s volleyball sky Corinthians-Guarulhos on the road by a 3-2 (21-25, 25-19, 21-25, 26-24, 15-12).

Since the players coached by the Argentinean expert Daniel Castellani won the first game of the finals, another victory got them crowned Paulista champions and put them among the main favorites to dethrone the four-time consecutive titleholders Sada Cruzeiro Vôlei in the national championship Superliga, which will start on October 14.

Before this, Taubaté will face exactly Cruzeiro in the national Supercup finals in Fortaleza, on October 11.
