In the first matches, Dentil/Praia Clube and Sesc-RJ scored wins after amazing five sets in both matches.
Praia Clube outplayed Volei Nestle with 3-2 (23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-27, 15-13) although they had a chance in the fourth set to finish match earlier.

In the second match of the day Sesc-RJ defeated Camponesa/Minas also in the tie-break but in this match, the host team led 2-0 and at the end suffered the big defeat (24-26, 23-25, 25-21, 27-25, 15-7).
