Halkbank and Roeselare have opened the new season, delivering a great volleyball show. The Turkish side was in a difficult situation but managed somehow to force the tie-break and to win the game.
Drazen Luburic (18 points) and Burutay Subasi (16 points) were the top scorers in the winning team, while on the other side Hendrick Tuerlinckx had 20 points.
Zenit SP have made a debut in the CEV Champions League, having a difficult match against the French side Chaumont. The German opposite Gyorgy Grozer has stolen the show, by scoring 27 points. It was enough to help his team score the first victory in the #CLVolleyM.
In the French team, Wassim Ben Tara has scored 24 points.
We also had a clash of two Polish teams. PGE Skra Belchatow hosted Trefl Gdansk and fortunately for the home fans, Wlazly & co. took the win in four sets.
However, it was not an easy game for both sides since we had two extended sets. As expected Mariusz Wlazly was the best scorer with 20 points, Karol Klos and Artur Szalpuk had 15 points each.
In Trefl Gdansk, Maciej Muzaj ended with 22 points.
