The 2020 CEV Cup will feature 31 Men’s and 32 Women’s teams, with the competition starting with the 16th Finals. The 8 seeded teams per gender were mixed with the losers of the qualifications from the CEV Champions League and teams who secured their place in both tournaments according to the latest national federations ranking.

As for the 2020 Challenge Cup, 40 Men’s and 36 Women’s teams will take part in the tournament. The teams from the lowest ranked national federations will play 2nd Round, which is consisted of the teams that play zonal competitions (BVA, MEVZA, WEVZA, NEVZA, EEVZA, and SCA).
