The team from the Croatian capital struggled the most compared to the other three teams that recorded wins in first matches. Mladost had to bounce back from a one-set deficit: 3-1 (22-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-14).
Ivan Raić top-scored for the Zagreb team with 19 points, while Tomislav Mitrašinović made 4 of the team’s 17 kill blocks. Bulgarian Ivan Kolev put down 18 points for Zadruga. Slovak Peter Mlynarčík set up 4 kill blocks.
