The German players ruined the mood of nearly 6,000 spectators at the Omnisport hall in Apeldoorn by beating the home side of the Netherlands in straight sets in the semifinal of the 2020 European Women’s Olympic Qualification Tournament. Thus, the team coached by Felix Koslowski will play for the place in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics against Poland or Turkey, whose semifinal duel sets off at 20:45 CET. The German ladies will have the chance to avenge the male colleagues for a defeat in the final to France, yesterday.

Louisa Lippmann was the top scorer for the winning side with 21 points. Nika Daalderop scored 15 for the “Oranje“.
