In a duel of the teams that are currently 4th placed in their respective national championships, Turkish Arkas İzmir pulled off a stunning comeback in Germany from 0-2 to 3-2 against United Volleys Frankfurt. Adis Lagumdžija top-scored for Arkas with 23 points but through only 39% attack (16/41), while Yiğit Gülmezoğlu made 5 kill blocks. Serbia Milija Mrdak put down 23 points for United Volleys.
There was one more tie-breaker today. The surprising leaders of the Belgian championship, Lindemans Aalst, outplayed Croatian titleholders Mladost Zagreb. Favorites no.1 to win the competition, Leo Shoes Modena, demolished the Czech side VK Ostrava.
