Itas Trentino won in Turkey against the home side of Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta İstanbul in Pool A and kept their hopes of entering the quarterfinals of the 2020 CEV Men’s Volleyball Champions League pretty much alive.

The Italian side Trentino achieved a fundamental victory for staying in contention for the Playoff of the 2020 Champions League: 3-1 (17-25, 25-22, 29-27, 25-20) vs. Fenerbahçe. Thus, the squad coached by Angelo Lorenzetti became the best-ranked 2nd placed team (3 of these will join pool leaders in the quarterfinals).

After a long time, 2 important players for Trentino have appeared in the line-up after recovering from injuries – American Russell and Vettori. The latter was the top scorer of his team with 21 points, while Serbian Srećko Lisinac made a 79% attack (15/19). The Dutchman Wouter Ter Maat was highly efficient for Fenerbahçe (27 points), whose chances of advancing to the Playoffs are brought down to mere theory.
