Perugia agreed with Atanasijević on the 2-year contract renewal, which means that the player whose nickname is “Magnum” will be the opposite hitter of the “Block Devils” until 2022! This came a few days after León’s renewal, by which the SuperLega team is fulfilling the promise of keeping the backbone of the squad.

The 28-year-old Atanasijević arrived at Perugia at a very young age, in 2013, and in case he remains until the end of the contract, Serbian player will reach 9 seasons in the jersey of the club. During previous years in Italian vice-champions, Atanasijević scored almost 4,300 points and served over 400 aces. He won one national title, 2 Italian Cups and Super Cups, the MVP award in the 2018 Italian Cup and in the 2017/18 SuperLega, was the best scorer of the Italian championship in the seasons 2013/14, 2014/15 and 2015/16, and Best Opposite Hitter of the 2017 CEV Champions League.
