CEV chooses European men’s team of last decade

by WoV

After announcing the best female lineup composed of European players in the last decade, the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) did the same in the men's competition.

After listening to the expertise of Belgian and French coaches Vital Heynen and Philippe Blain, respectively, as well as of former Italy National Team member Andrea Zorzi, the CEV composed the “European Team of the Decade: Men 2010-2019“. The ideal line-up has two Frenchmen, two Russians, two Poles, and one Italian player.

Setter – Benjamin Toniutti (FRA)

Middle blockers – Piotr Nowakowski (POL) and Dmitriy Muserskiy (RUS)

Libero – Jénia Grebennikov (FRA)

Opposite hitter – Maksim Mikhaylov (RUS)

Outside hitters – Osmany Juantorena (ITA) and Wilfredo León (POL)

Recall what the women’s team of the last decade looks like.
