The players of Italy’s Itas Trentino rose their heads in a very difficult moment for the club. After suffering two consecutive defeats in the home league, they overcame Russia’s Dinamo Moscow – undefeated in the national championship – on Day 2 of the 2021 Men’s Champions League qualifications.
In Pool H in Switzerland, Trentino beat rivals with authority (3-0: 25-18, 25-13, 25-16) ahead of the match against the home side of Lindaren Volley Amriswil in which they need to take at least one point to progress to the pool stage.
Dinamo couldn’t do more today given they played without Bulgarian Tsvetan Sokolov. The Dutchman Nimir Abdel-Aziz top-scored Trentino with 22 points, including 4 aces.
