Turkey’s Halkbank Ankara beat Israel’s Hapoel Kfar Saba for the second time in two days in the 1/16 finals of the 2021 Men’s Challenge Cup. Both encounters were held in the Turkish capital.
After having certain problems in the first leg (3-1), Halkbank beat rivals in the rematch in straight sets but had to secure a two-point advantage to take all of them. Partially, it was 29-27, 25-23, and 26-24.
In the next round, Halkbank will face Portugal’s Sport Lisboa e Benfica who were one of many teams that progressed thanks to the withdrawal of their opponents, more precisely of Hungary’s VRCK Kazincbarcika.
