The last day of the first stage of the competition in Pool A of the 2021 Women’s Champions League ended with a clear victory of the hosts Savino del Bene Scandicci over Poland’s Developres SkyRes Rzeszów. Thus, the Serie A side consolidated its leadership in the standings, while the team coached by the Frenchman Stéphane Antiga remained winless.
The Pole Magdalena Stysiak top-scored Scandicci with 19 points, while Serbian Mina Popović set up 4 blocks.
Germany’s SSC Palmberg Schwerin, who will host the next three days of the competition in this pool, swept Italy’s Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio. American Hayley Spelman highlighted the Bundesliga club with 19 points.
