After reaching the agreement with relevant National Federations, the CEV decided to postpone the men’s and women’s 2021 European Championship Qualifier to May 16, 2021, at the latest. This applied for the following qualifying tournaments: pools A, E, F, and G (men) and pools B, C, D, E, and F (women).

Two men’s qualifiers will be taking place in January: Pool B in Israel and Pool D in North Macedonia (January 11-16, 2021). Denmark was to host the competition of the latter pool but its federation withdrew the national team due to Covid-19 restrictions. The only men’s qualifier that has completed was in Cyprus, where Latvia secured the EuroVolley berth.

As for women, all qualifiers were postponed to May 2021 with the exception of Pool A in Belarus, which will be taking place from January 9-14, 2021.
