The national team of the Czech Republic made the sensation at the 2021 CEV Men’s Volleyball European Championship that will be talked about for a long time among volleyball lovers!
The Czech National Team advanced to the quarter-finals of the CEV Men’s EuroVolley 2021. How did it do it? By shocking the Olympic Games winner France at home in Ostrava with, believe it or not, a straight-set win, partially 25-22, 25-19, and 34-32. To present the success in a better light, the Czechs achieved only two victories in the whole tournament prior to this match. Interestingly, the Czech Republic repeated a stunt from four years ago, as it eliminated France, at that moment the reigning European champion, in the eight-finals of the continental championship (3-1).
Jan Hadrava led the winning side with 18 points today, while Lukáš Vašina made 71 % attack (15/21, one error). Jean Patry tallied 20 points for ‘Les Bleus’.
