Only two days after the end of the men’s EuroVolley, European club competitions enter the scene. The first round match of the CEV Women’s Champions League was played between Olympiacos Piraeus and Asterix Avo Beveren. Olympiacos began their journey in CEV Champions League in the best possible way by defeating Asterix Avo 3-1 (21-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-23).
Wilma Salas Rosell of Olympiacos was the top scorer for the match with 22 points, Mariana Andrade Costa added 13. Nova Marring with 21 points was the top scorer for Asterix Avo, Helena Gilson added 17.
