In the preliminary phase of the CEV Champions League, with 6 games played, the 1st round (home games) was completed. Rieker UJS Komarno (SVK), Olympiacos Piraeus and Sport Lisboa e Benfica won their matches as expected, while the other 3 matches ended in a tie-break. CSM Arcada Galati defeated CEZ Karlovarsko, Budva Volley beat HAOK Mladost and the Ford Levoranta Sastamala) won in the Netherlands, in a match against Draisma Dynamo Apeldoorn.
The second match between Shakhtior Soligorsk and IBB Polonia London is scheduled for today. Due to the pandemic situation and the restrictions it caused, thanks to the support of CEV and the agreement of the two clubs, it was decided that both matches would be played in a neutral place in Poland.
