The champions of Bulgaria, Hebar Pazardzhik, achieved their first, historic victory in the group stage of the CEV Champions League Volley | Men. The ‘Häfler’ lost both matches they played in the pool in the tie-break. Italian Jacopo Massari top-scored the winning side with 20 points. Teodor Salparov made 80% reception (10 digs, one error, 70% excellent).

The home match against Turkey’s Fenerbahçe HDI İstanbul in Pool E had to be won at any cost by Italy’s Trentino Itas after the defeat in the first round to the countrymen Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia. And, Angelo Lorenzetti’s players accomplished the mission, beating rivals in straight sets.
