Serbia’s ŽOK Ub defeated Hungary’s Fatum Nyíregyháza at home with the result of 3-0, partially 25-21, 25-20, and 25-23, in the third round of Pool E in the CEV Champions League Volley 2022 | Women. The Serbian titleholders, thus, recorded a historic, first triumph in the elite club competition in the ‘Old Continent’ and, logically, the first this season in CL. The best player in the team commanded by Marijana Boričić was Ljiljana Ranković with 11 points, while Sofija Medić set up six blocks. As for the Hungarian side, it remained winless in the competition.

In Pool A’s duel of the two sides that both aimed for their first win in this edition of the Champions League, Germany’s Dresdner SC prevailed over Ukraine’s SC Prometey Dnipro in five sets, while Turkey’s VakıfBank İstanbul swept France’s ASPTT Mulhouse VB on the road in Pool B in their first match after winning the world title in Ankara and remained perfect in CL.
