Vero Volley Monza earned themselves another win against CDV Guaguas Las Palmas and flew to the semi-finals of the 2022 CEV Men’s Volleyball Cup.
It took Monza 45 minutes to hit the target: that’s how much time the players of the Italian side spent on the court to win the necessary two sets, those that qualify for the semis of the CEV Volleyball Cup 2022 | Men (3-0 in the first leg), in the quarter-final rematch against Spain’s Guaguas. The game ended 3-1 for Monza, whose head coach Massimo Eccheli employed backups in the remainder of the encounter. Thomas Beretta top-scored the SuperLega side with 14 points (5 blocks).
In the semi-finals, Monza will play against a Russian club, whether it’ll be Zenit Kazan or Kuzbass Kemerovo will be clear after tomorrow’s rematch (Zenit prevailed 3-0 in the first leg today). Poland’s PGE Skra Bełchatów was the first team to reach the semis.
