Meanwhile, Kladno’s hopes fizzled out despite a promising start with a 3-2 home win against Nantes. A 0-3 defeat in France marked the end of their European Cup journey. Tomas Lopez led the charge of Nantes with 15 points and was the match top scorer. Antony Goncalves with 11 points was the most effective for Kladno.
