The former professional player secured 36 votes in the second round, demonstrating the overwhelming confidence of the European volleyball community in his leadership. Sikirić now steps into the role with a clear vision and a strong commitment to advancing the sport across the continent.

“This is a great responsibility, and I am deeply honored to lead the CEV. I want to thank everyone for their trust and support, and I promise to give my all in this role, just as I did throughout the campaign,” said Sikirić, acknowledging the achievements of his predecessor, Aleksandar Boričić.

Sikirić’s election is seen as a fresh start for European volleyball, with his focus on innovation and progress. He has already announced his chosen team for the CEV Board of Administration, including Clodagh Nic Canna (Ireland), Ivan Knezevic (Serbia), and Leonel Salgueiro (Portugal), all of whom bring youthful energy and substantial experience to the table. The General Assembly ratified these selections with overwhelming support.

Six additional board members were also elected, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise from various countries. This new leadership team is set to drive European volleyball into a bright future, with a focus on growth, inclusivity, and excellence.

Roko Sikirić’s election marks a new era for the CEV, one filled with optimism and the promise of continued success for volleyball across Europe.
