With this win, Romania reached 13 points and a 5-1 record, securing their place in the semifinals in Angelholm, Sweden. Cheluta led the team with 14 points. Their final group match against Croatia today will not affect the standings.
Sweden also secured victory by a sweep of Slovakia, finishing the group stage with 14 points (5-1). The Haak sisters each contributed 17 points. Sweden’s strong performance boosts their chances of qualifying for the Volleyball Nations League by the world rankings.
Greece defeated Spain in four sets, led by Martha Anthouli with 24 points. Portugal secured and cofirmned their spot in the Golden League edition 2025/26 with a win over Montenegro.
