Maribor OTP Banka Branik, began their MEVZA League season on a high note, securing a convincing 3-0 victory against Dinamo Zagreb in their opening match.

Maribor controlled most of the game. Their toughest moments came in the first set, when they let go of a solid lead and allowed the hosts to edge ahead twice before the final stretch. However, from the start of the second set onward, the Slovenian team kept a firm grip on the match and didn’t allow Dinamo any further chances.
Among the standout players were Croatians Maša Mlinar and Nika Jularić. Mlinar, who played for Dinamo last season, shone with 16 points, while Jularić added 13, both crucial in Branik’s winning effort.
This season, the MEVZA Women’s League features teams from across the region, including Hapoel Kfar Saba (Israel), Mladost Zagreb and Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia), Budućnost (Montenegro), and Lemesos Volleyball (Cyprus).
