HAOK Mladost’s women’s team made the most of their home advantage at the opening MEVZA League tournament, where they are defending champions. After a convincing win over Dinamo on Tuesday, Mladost swept OTP Banka Branik Maribor 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-19) in just 70 minutes of play — calm, focused, and powerful from start to finish.
Unlike their opener, where early nerves were visible, the Zagreb side looked composed and efficient against the Slovenian team. Tonka Bošnjak led with 17 points, followed by Andrea Koraca (15) and Ana Ištuk (11).
“We played firmly and showed character, especially when we were behind,” said Bošnjak. “It’s clear we’re improving with every game.”
Koraca added:
“It was a demanding tournament, but finishing with two 3-0 wins says a lot. We proved what we’re capable of.”
