Argentinean-born head coach Daniel Castellani and Technical Director Wout Wijsmans expressed some confidence and some concern when judging the opponent.
“We have a very young team, with many nationalities, but I’m satisfied with the way they started the season,” Castellani said. “They already showed a better level than I had expected by this stage of the year. Yet, we will have to play at our very best level in order to beat the Dutch champions. We all know Wytze Kooistra as an experienced top player and their setter Matt West is able to produce a strong series of serves in each set.”
Wout Wijsmans pointed at the reward in case of an overall win against GRONINGEN. “A spot in Pool B would offer our young guys extremely valuable challenges against the top teams of Zaksa KEDZIERZYN-KOZLE, Dinamo MOSCOW and ISTANBUL BBSK.”
