For the first time since 2012, German team VfB Friedrichshafen did not qualify for the Playoffs of the CEV Champions League. Hence the visible sadness on the faces of their players and coach Vital Heynen after losing to French side Paris Volley, last night.

„It’s very sad to lose an important game like this. We have now lost the first important game this season after winning the Cup and Super Cup, and that hurts. At the Champions League level, our young team has always been close against the experienced international stars,“ Friedrichshafen coach Heynen said after the game against Paris.
