The win of Trentino is even more valuable since it was achieved on the road, in the gymnasium where they already lost one game this season. Thus, in order to advance to the penultimate round of the second-ranked club competition under the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV), Trentino will need to win at least two sets in the rematch at home.
The Czech Jan Štokr led Trentino with 14 points (72% attack) while French Trévor Clévenot scored 12 for Piacenza, who will have a rather difficult task in the second leg to turn the course of a semifinal into their favor.
