In the Kraków quarter-finals of the 2017 CEV Volleyball European Championships, the protégés of Nikola Grbić beat the Bulgarian Men’s National Team in straight sets despite trailing by several points in the second and third set, 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 28-26).

In the second set, Serbia managed to recover from being five points down, while in the third set, they saved two set points.

Dražen Luburić highlighted Serbia with 13 points although he was blocked 5 times, and those were the all kill blocks that the Bulgarian side managed to make. On the other side, Tsvetan Sokolov scored 20 points but lost his pace in the finish of the third set when Bulgaria had a chance to make the breakthrough.

Serbia will play Germany in the semifinals in Kraków, on September 2, at 17:30 CET.
