The procedure that will determine who goes where is:
The pool stage of the men’s competition features 20 teams and women’s 16 who will be drawn across five pools (A-B-C-D-E) and four pools (A-B-C-D), comprising of four teams each, from the bottom row to the top one according to the latest European Cups Ranking List and the relevant provisions from the CEV Volleyball Competitions Regulations.
As per the regulations in force, two teams from the same country cannot feature in the same pool, unless one of these two has qualified to the group stage through the 3rd Round.

Like every year on Gala, CEV will award the best in 2017:
– Male Volleyball Player of the Year
– Female Volleyball Player of the Year
– Men’s Team Coach of the Year
– Women’s Team Coach of the Year
– Male Beach Volleyball team
– Female Beach Volleyball team
– Event of the year
– Lifetime Achievement Award
